It’s a musical extravaganza with artists from Alberta and around the world performing throughout the day and into the evening. The Folk Fest is designed for the whole family to enjoy, from kids to grandparents. It combines a rich sense of community with the mutual enjoyment of music and other activities. This summer, from July 27 – 30, 2023, families can enjoy music, magic, and memories together. There are single-day and full festival passes available, with 7 stages hosting 70 artists, and kids 12 and under get in free!
You can easily spend the whole day at the Folk Fest — Prince’s Island is the perfect venue, with lots of sun and shade and the perfect relaxed summer vibe. Kids can burn their energy at the park and families will find lots of space to explore or rest in quiet areas. Grab your lunch or dinner at the food vendor alley (with options for dietary restrictions and no long lines) and there is an all-site license. Be sure to stay hydrated at the refillable water stations. You’ll find a Family Zone, a talk tent, an artisan market, and a skate ramp. Children will love face painting and interactive activities and games. Parents will appreciate the chance to get outside and enjoy the quickly fleeting moments of summer with their family and friends!
