Your child can embark on an adventure this summer, right in the heart of the city! Fort Calgary summer camps will feed your child’s curiosity and creativity with science, art, and nature. With six camps to choose from, kids can discover plants and animals or unleash their artistic inspirations. This summer is a time to explore!

A national historic site, Fort Calgary is located on 40 acres of natural land beside the Bow and Elbow rivers, where many significant archaeological finds have been made. It has been a place of Indigenous significance for thousands of years and was where the North West Mounted Police established Fort Calgary in 1875. Today, it is a place to gather, learn and reflect.

Fort Calgary Summer Camps (Family Fun Calgary)

Summer camps at Fort Calgary offer a rich experience for kids aged 6 – 11 years. With a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, kids will connect with nature and explore stories from our city’s past and present. All campers will get a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum.

Rooted in community, these camps include field trips to exciting locations within walking distance of Fort Calgary, like St. Patrick’s Island and the Central Library. Campers will also get to engage with special guests from around the neighbourhood. Camps run from 9 am – 4 pm, and busy parents will be happy to know that complimentary before and after care runs from 8 – 9 am and 4 – 5 pm.
