In a fantastic civic-minded move, Quest Theatre is giving away 12 bursaries for 1-week Quest Theatre Summer Drama Camps to displaced families from Fort McMurray.
“Quest Theatre wants to help children who have endured extreme stress and unimaginable loss because of the fires,” says Iam Coulter, Director of Education, Development and Outreach at Quest Theatre. “We can’t undo the trauma they are experiencing, but we CAN help heal it by encouraging them to express their emotions in creative and self affirming ways. We can help them put their worries aside and focus on play. We can give them a safe environment, a sense of community and reasons to smile. We can help them feel like kids again.”
