Social Media Shift: Bridging the Gap at MRU

This is not a family fun event, attraction or even an article about what to do with your kids this weekend so why am I writing a post about this conference?

Family Fun Calgary has grown exponentially using social media to promote our website. In fact, when we started using Twitter and Facebook, traffic to our website tripled and sponsorship opportunities started to trickle in. These sponsorship opportunities pay the bills at Family Fun Calgary and allow us to continue to provide you with all the latest information on family friendly events and activities happening in Calgary.

I’ve attended a number of conferences and workshops discussing social media and it never ceases to amaze me how effective it can be if you use it properly. Social Media Shift has a particularly stellar cast and I am so excited to attend this year.

If you work in sales or marketing, are a blogger or own a business I would like to invite you to join me to attend Social Media Shift on May 10th and learn about Bridging the Gap between traditional marketing and this craziness (and awesomeness) of social media.

There will be several hot shot speakers sharing their plethora of knowledge on the subject including Chris Brogan, Alexandra Samuel, Peter Shankman and Julien Smith.

Tickets for the conference are $425 + GST but you still have time to grab the early bird price of $375 + GST if you purchase your ticket by April 23rd.
