Family Fun Canada is a Canadian parenting blog. If you have an idea for a great story or article, we would love to hear from you. Please review these guidelines before you make a submission.
What We Are Looking For:
- clearly written, with no spelling or grammatical errors
- submissions no more than 1000 words long
- the subject can be just about anything as long as it relates to families; things families can do together, parenting experiences, life with kids, travel and camping adventures, dining out, etc.
- exclusive, original content
- 1-4 photos to accompany your article no larger than 450 pixels wide or high
What We Can Offer You:
Exposure:
- At the end of your submitted article is your author box with photo, bio and a link to your blog, website or twitter account.
- Regular contributors and contributors who have submitted a minimum of 5 posts will be included in our list of Family Fun Canada Contributors page.
Perks:
- At this point we do not pay for articles, and we can only offer you exposure to our readers.
- Regular contributors will sometimes be contacted with a request for a specific blog post about an attraction or event, or a product review. Complimentary passes to the event or attraction, and samples of products will provided in exchange for an exclusive, original post on Family Fun Canada
The Fine Print:
- When you post an article you are giving www.familyfuncanada.com, an affiliate of Family Fun Media first exclusive electronic rights to your article and non-exclusive rights to keep your article in our online archives, and that Family Fun Media may publish or feature your article on its network sites. You will always receive credit for your article.
- Not all articles you submit will necessarily be used.
- We reserve the right to edit, correct or revise the article before we post it on our website(s)
We will not post any blogs that are defamatory, libelous, insulting or malicious or contain content that we deem inappropriate for our “family-oriented” scope. - Opinions expressed in your blog are entirely your own and Family Fun Media accepts no liability or responsibility for any legal issues arising from the publishing of the blog on our website.
- Family Fun Media will not provide reimbursement for out of pocket expenses associated with using tickets/passes to events/activities, such as but not limited to parking, beverages, food, etc.
- Family Fun Media accepts no liability or responsibility for any mishaps, accidents or misfortunes that occur while you are at an activity/event for which tickets/passes were provided.
- By submitting photographs, you will allow Family Fun Media to post the photographs with the article. If the photographs are of your minor children, you expressly agree that we have permission to have their photo included with your article.
