Happy Canada Day and welcome to July! January may be the official start of a new year but July tends to feel like a different kind of beginning. As we move into the second half of the year, we move into days that stretch into longer lazy days of summer and as parents, we cherish these days that provide the opportunities to create unforgettable family memories. What are your family’s favourite memories of summer?
For us, it has always been about travelling. Each year, we would set off on a new adventure to a new destination. We didn’t have a camper or trailer but it was our trusty Dodge brown van that allowed us to travel all across Canada and the US and those memories are the ones I recall about my summers growing up. For a couple of summers, we actually lived overseas for 2 months and lived like a local in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Memories are created regardless of destination so if you haven’t planned out your summer vacation yet, there is still time! There are always opportunities to travel, both near and far so you can still fit in a super fun summer vacation!
This year in celebrating Canada’s 150 year, there are so many opportunities and incentives to visit cities across Canada that this summer is the perfect place to visit our own backyard. Though many people often associate vacation packages for all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, did you know you can build a vacation package for cities in Canada? It’s a great way to package up flights and hotels together to save money while providing peace of mind! Which Canadian city would be first on your mind to visit?
