Young Naturalists Club Halifax

The Young Naturalists Club (YNC) is a FREE nature club geared toward youth (7-12) and their families. There are several chapters, including one in Halifax.

With the Young Naturalists Club, your kids can learn more about the many species of Nova Scotia plants and animals, or even the solar system. On field trips, young naturalists can explore local trails, flora and fauna while learning from expert naturalists and guest scientists.

The YNC runs from September to June. All presentations and trips are FREE. Students will learn to use basic naturalist equipment such as magnifying loupes, binoculars, field guides, nature journals and more. You can go to all the field trips or just those that fit your family’s schedule. Just remember to register first!
