Christmas is less than a week away, and we are ready for the Holly Jolly season! I’ve been trying to figure out what my five favourite events were this year. It’s impossible to choose between them all but I’m picking the activities that I know we look forward to every year. We can do them over our Christmas holidays. Here are our

5 BEST Christmas Activities in Saskatoon

1. BHP Billiton Enchanted Forest

We make sure to go to this every year and we are lucky to have so many chances to see it. This event runs from November to the start of January and we love it. Every year, we find something new. It’s our favourite way to get into the Christmas season.

2. Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees Tradition

Another yearly tradition is to check out the amazing trees at the Festival of Trees. This one has ended for the year but it’s back every year and it’s bigger and better every year. You can still see the Eaton’s Once Upon a Christmas display and it’s worth the visit to WDM! (Plus the Western Development is always an amazing place to visit.)

3. Christmas Lights Displays in Saskatoon

We’ve added searching for great light displays to our list of yearly activities. There are so many to see and to be honest, we are still working our way down the list. Saskatoon and the surrounding area have beautiful Christmas lights that are sure to get you and your family in a festive mood!

4. Glow Gardens Saskatoon

This is the second year that Glow Gardens has been in Saskatoon. It’s the first year we’ve been to them but it’s now going to be added to the list of holiday traditions. With a different theme every year, we will be in awe with every visit. It’s really the perfect place to go for couples, kids, families or even by yourself.

5. Champetre County’s Winter Wonderland Sleigh Rides

We did this last year, and can’t wait for another visit this year. We’re hoping to do it during the holiday but this one can be extended through the rest of winter. We loved our visit to Champetre County last year and we cannot wait to be there again. They have enchanting sleigh rides, a fire to warm up near, and a maze to get lost in. This is one of our holiday day trips that we love!

Christmas is only days away but some of these activities extend longer. The ones that have ended will be back next year to spread the holiday magic to your family.
