There’s a Tidal Treasure Hunt happening on the shores of Vancouver Island, and the rules are “Finders, keepers!”

Beachcombing is a little more magical since the Float Fairies scattered their Tidal Treasures!
If you find yourself strolling on the beaches of Oceanside (between Deep Bay and Nanoose) you will want to keep your eyes peeled for glittering treasures that have been left for lucky visitors! The Tidal Treasures are pieces of blown glass created by local artisans, then scattered by volunteers who call themselves Float Fairies. If you find one of the pieces of art, it’s yours to keep! Find one marked by a red star, and you win a special prize! Bring your Tidal Treasure to the Parksville Visitors Centre for more information on the artist who made your piece, or to claim your prize.
