With more than 75 activities for kids including a concrete skate park, live concerts, water sports, zip lines, and a challenge course – it’s no wonder they have been a popular summer camp spot for 58 years! Set right on the water in a secluded spot just 15km north-east of Duncan on Vancouver Island, Camp Qwanoes exposes campers to wakeboarding, ocean kayak frenzies, and mountain boarding.
Every year the Aqua Park is a HUGE attraction for campers. The floating playground, right in the Pacific Ocean, expands every year. Those interested in an adrenaline rush will love the ‘Blob’ – a floating catapult that launches campers into the air before landing with a splash into the water. A giant Aqua-slide, water log and water trampoline are just some of the incredible features for water-loving kids to enjoy on those hot summer days.
When at Qwanoes Beach – if they aren’t spending all their time at the Aqua Park – campers can try waterskiing, kneeboarding, canoeing, tubing, wakeboarding, and ‘The Rocket’. Campers will also get a chance to give the Challenge Course a try. The activities don’t lack thrilling names: The Screamer, The Breathtaker, Painter’s Planks, and The Sky Station. The Christian camp brings together staff from around the world. They employ approximately 200 staff each week, meaning there is a 2-1 camper-to-staff ratio. Now how’s that for safety?
