Cozy season is here! The days are getting cooler, sweaters are necessary in the morning and evening, and you may find yourself looking for a corn maze or apple field to visit on the weekends. If this is your first time visiting a corn maze, we’ve rounded up some tips for success and included a list of some of the best corn mazes around Metro Vancouver for all levels of adventurers.

Tips for visiting a Corn Maze:

  • Dress appropriately! It may be warm outside, but the ground can be muddy, and closed-toe shoes are best for navigating uneven terrain.
  • If you’re attending an evening corn maze, make sure to bring a flashlight!
  • Plan ahead and go early if you want to avoid crowds.
  • Follow the signs and stay on the path! Wandering into the corn stalks not only damages the crops, but can also lead you astray.
  • Stay calm and have fun! Getting lost is all part of the experience and you will eventually find your way out. If you start to feel worried or need assistance, there are usually phone numbers posted at the entrance or along the way for corn maze staff to help.
  • Stick together and make a family plan. By traveling through together and working as a team, you’re more likely to find the exit. However, sometimes one person gets separated. Have a plan for what to do if that happens.
  • Have fun! Some corn mazes are designed to be challenging, and some are more family-friendly. Be sure to look ahead if you have a preference.
