Looking for some egg-citement? Celebrate Easter at the Cannery– with a twist!

Head to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery to celebrate Easter this year (#EasterattheCannery). If you haven’t been to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery in a while, you are in for a treat! The Cannery is one of the few restored 19th-century salmon canneries remaining in BC. In its heyday, the Cannery was the largest building of its kind and the leading producer of canned salmon in BC. Now a dynamic fishing museum, visitors will step inside and become immersed in the sights, sounds, and stories of the West Coast fishing industry. While you’re there, explore the massive historic building and the many hands-on, interactive exhibits, including salmon sorting at the fish bins, ocean sustainability at the Fishing Methods touch screen, or be the captain of your own fishing boat in the Model Wheelhouse.

Easter at the Cannery is egg-citing! This fun-filled, family-friendly weekend is perfectly suited for kids ages 2 to 6 years old. Easter at the Cannery will include some fish-tastic activities such as crafts, story-time, and the annual Easter Salmon Scavenger Hunt! This event is more than just bunnies and chocolate eggs– all participants will walk away with knowledge about Pacific salmon and their lifecycle! Activities are available 10:30am to 4:30, and doors will open at 10am. All Easter hunt participants will receive an Easter treat for their efforts. Invite your friends and family for a full day of fun, and RSVP here to stay up-to-date on event information.

Special Event pricing is in effect for Easter at the Cannery. Youth 2+ are $6.00 and adults 18+ at $9.00, and coupons/discounts are not applicable for this event. Society Members and Discovery Pass holders receive free admission. Don’t miss out on a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunter!
