In cities all across Metro Vancouver, outdoor summer concert series are offering up free (or nearly free) live performances throughout the summer. Mark your calendar, plan a picnic, and soak up the evening sun while listening to beautiful music.

Every Saturday from early July until the end of September, families can enjoy FREE concerts at Abbotsford’s Mill Lake Park. Performers include: Big City Soul, Central Fraser Valley Fiddlers, The Other Big Band, The Frank David Jazz Band, Bruce James Orchestra & more.

VSO at Deer Lake Park – I think the whole city waits in anticipation for this yearly event. The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra returns to Burnaby’s Deer Lake Park on July 9th for a FREE performance.
Come to Burnaby’s Civic Square for the Summer Sundays Concerts series. Performances start at 6pm and the live entertainment is FREE.
The Concerts in the Park series returns to Delta for 2017. There are only a few performances this year: June 13th, July 5th & 25th, and August 23rd. Please make sure to double check the start time as well as the location as it changes for every performance.
Canada 150 Summer Concert Series happens every Thursday night, through July & August, in the Township of Langley. Admission is FREE, just bring something to sit on.

Surrey Sounds of Summer Concert Series – Wednesdays from June 28 – August 30th, the City of Surrey hosts FREE outdoor concerts at various parks around the city. The music style & performers is different for every show. Arrive early, explore the park, bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the music. Please note that most venues don’t permit pets.
