A sure sign of summer, Vancouver’s outdoor swimming pools, including the massive Kitsilano Pool and the pool at Second Beach, are now open to the public.
Kitsilano Pool – Kitsilano Pool is a large outdoor swimming pool in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver that is open during the summer months. It is located right along the beach, and is the only salt water pool in Vancouver. In 2018, Kitsilano Pool unveiled a $3.3 million face-lift!

Second Beach Pool – located in Stanley Park Second Beach Pool is an oceanside, heated, outdoor pool. Barbeques can be used at nearby Ceperley Meadow and a picnic shelter can be reserved for private gatherings.

New Brighton Pool – New Brighton Pool is a heated, outdoor pool in East Vancouver’s New Brighton Park North of the Pacific National Exhibition on Windermere St.

Hillcrest Pool – Hillcrest Aquatic Centre is the largest aquatic facility in the city. This indoor/outdoor aquatic centre opened in the summer of 2010 and is equipped with an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, and a fitness centre. It is part of the newly opened Hillcrest Centre, a legacy of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
