The Calgary Drop-In Centre Needs Volunteers to Make Sandwiches

Calgary Drop In Centre Volunteer Opportunity

The Calgary Drop-In Centre (the DI) supports Calgarians experiencing homelessness, poverty and marginalization by providing housing supports, emergency shelter, health services, and community resources. Every day we provide approx. 1000 sandwiches to men and women experiencing homelessness who work during the day and take the sandwiches for lunch and those who work night shifts and take sandwiches for supper.

During the summer months, the DI has a drop in the number of sandwich donations but, DI clients are still working and still require meals to take to work.

We encourage all Calgarians to sign up with their kids, family and friends for this event. It is a wonderful way to connect with your community and do good. They can share their day with us on social media by tagging us at @calgarydropin.

Please note: the DI does not provide ingredients or supplies for this activity. Tax receipts are available when original receipts are provided.
