This Canada Day, celebrate at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo, with moose, beavers and maple, oh my! Kick off the long weekend in red-and-white style while you visit your animal friends at the zoo. Enjoy special treats, like maple Nanaimo bar sundaes (exclusively available on Canada Day) and Canada Day colouring pages for the little ones. Plus, you can end the day with ZooNights!

This Canada Day, gather the family, as the City of Calgary is celebrating the Original Peoples of Canada and what makes us Canadian. Learn more about Indigenous culture and enjoy a full day of music, entertainment, and fireworks. There is something for everyone to enjoy at this Canada Day Get Together, all over the downtown!

End the day with a bang and fireworks off the Calgary Municipal Building. You can listen to a musical soundtrack here. Before the fireworks at 11 pm, there will be a blessing by Stoney Nakoda Elder Cindy Daniels, a moment of silence to recognize the children who died and are still missing after being taken to residential schools, and a message from Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek.
