Canada Day may have a mixed meaning this year for many. Here at Family Fun Calgary, know that we wish you peace, love, and comfort as we all work to become a more united Canada. As it is a statutory holiday, there are a variety of events happening that you can share with your family as you see fit.
Here’s a run-down of the Canada Day events going on in our vibrant city (and other cities nearby) on July 1.
City of Calgary
This Canada Day, the City of Calgary is inviting you to celebrate with take-home fun and online activities. There will be a fireworks show and a full day of music, interviews, and entertainment on local radio. Read more about it here.

There’s no better place in Calgary to spend Canada Day than Heritage Park Historical Village! Travel back in time with your little ones and celebrate Canada’s birthday in historical style. Fort Calgary Virtual Canada Day

Cochrane
Cochrane is celebrating Canada Day with a partial live and partial virtual Canada Day Celebration! There will be a mix of physical activities and online contests and there will be live virtual entertainment and fireworks are planned. Read more about it here.

GlobalFest is teaming up with HeckYa.ca and the Strathmore AG Society for an electrifying Canada Day Pyromusical Finale on July 1, 2021! Bar U Ranch
