This year, Calgary’s luxury downtown shopping centre, The CORE, is celebrating the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Rat. The New Year is celebrated on Saturday, January 25, 2020, according to the traditional Chinese Calendar. The Rat is the first of all the zodiac animals. In Chinese culture, rats are a symbol of intelligence and wisdom.
In celebration of the Year of the Rat, The CORE will have an exclusive Gift Card offer, traditional Lion Dance, Chinese Orchestra performance and much more! Snap a photo with the Instagram-worthy display on the second level glass bridge near Holt Renfrew and there will be games for the kids at Guest Services
