Southcentre Mall doors may be closed right now, but in honour of World Art Day on April 15, Southcentre, in partnership with Promoting Artists Redefining Kulture (PARK), is pleased to announce the virtual unveiling of CHROMA on the Rise.
Originally intended to open as a public art installation within the walls of Southcentre, CHROMA on the Rise will now launch digitally in response to the unprecedented physical distancing measures currently in place across the country. This art collective supports emerging artists. CHROMA on the Rise will include concepts from four up and coming Alberta creators: Cory Bugden, Claire Ouchi together with Rachel Rivera, and Isabelle Kearl.
Calgarians are invited to digitally explore the colourful designs through Southcentre’s website. Printable colouring pages, digital wallpaper designs for phone and computer screens, live streams facilitated and inspired by the contributing artists, and more will also be made available for people to enjoy from the comfort and safety of their homes.
