This Canada Day, gather the family, as the City of Calgary is celebrating all Canadians and what makes us who we are. Learn more about Indigenous culture and enjoy a full day of music, entertainment, and fireworks. There is something for everyone to enjoy this Canada Day!

St. Patrick’s Island

Enjoy family-friendly entertainment and the beautiful St. Patrick’s Island. There will be buskers and performers, face painting, crafts and activities, live music, and more.

Fort Calgary

Head to Fort Calgary from 11 am – 5 pm for an Indigenous Vendors Marketplace and Powwow Arena. You’ll also find the Teaching Tipis & Trappers Tent and Cultural Booths and Activities. Then, join Emcee Megan Pierson for a free all-Canadian line-up of musical performances starting at 4:30 pm. Fort Calgary is a great place to watch the fireworks, too.

East Village Street Fair

If you’re in East Village, be sure to stop by the street fair; visit over 50 vendors and food trucks and enjoy music and activities for all ages.

Olympic Plaza

Head down to Olympic Plaza for a great day of music and public art. You’ll find ArtsXpeditions, presented by the Arts Commons and family-friendly fun with food trucks, children’s art activities, cultural performances, and live music from Alberta musicians.

Fireworks

End the day with a bang and fireworks from Stampede Park. Watch the fireworks from Fort Calgary or from one of many other great viewing areas in the city. The Stampede grounds will be closed to the public and is not a viewing location due to the setup of the 2023 Stampede. Vehicle access into West Ramsay (Scotsman’s Hill) will also be restricted.
