On March 30, 2019, you and your family can take a stand by sitting in the dark. Join millions of other   people around the world by turning off your lights and electronics to mark Earth Hour between 8:30 and 9:30 pm. Or go out and spend a fun off-the-grid evening with lots of other Calgarians . . .

Calgary Unplugged is a free community event at Confluence Plaza on St. Patrick’s Island. This fun and FREE evening event will feature free hot chocolate, bike-powered music and lights, kids’ nature games and lots more. Event-goers can bring a light, drum, costume, lantern or decorate their bike and take part in a procession to signal the beginning of Earth Hour. There will be a DJ dance Party, activities, fire pits, and games! There will also be an Earth Hour Bicycle Brewery Tour and walk to Cabin and Ol’ Beautiful microbreweries.

Earth Hour is just once a year, but you can reduce your energy consumption every day. Find ideas from the City of Calgary here.

Time: 7 – 10 pm (Earth Hour is 8:30 – 9:30 pm if you’re taking part at home)
