Warm Up This Winter With the Inaugural Chinook Blast Festival

There’s a new festival in town, so grab the kids and your warm coat and head down to Chinook Blast, weekends from February 12 – 28, 2021. When you’re living through winter in a pandemic, you need something to look forward to, so head outside your own four walls for a wintery weekend fun.

• Cozy up fireside on outdoor patios
• Give speedskating a try and see how fast you can glide
• Capture moments among outdoor art installations
• Take a recharging walking tour
• And plenty more activities!

This is the first year of Chinook Blast and programming will go ahead, in line with COVID-19 Safety Protocols. In future years, you can look forward to these three anchoring events:

• The High Performance Rodeo, a 33-year institution of performing art in Calgary
• Calgary Folk Music Festival’s Block Heater, one of the city’s fastest-growing music festivals
• Glow Festival, an awe-inspiring winter festival with lights, ice carving and more presented by the Calgary Downtown Association
