Summer is for Dancing at Evolutions School of Dance!

Evolutions School of Dance, located near Chinook Centre, offers classes for dancers ages 1 and up. With a variety of sessional programs and summer classes and summer camps, they offer dance options that will fit your family the whole year round! Genres taught include ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, contemporary, baby, toddler & preschooler classes and more.

Evolutions School of Dance aims to create an open door policy for students and parents while fostering a fun, positive and safe dance environment. Evolutions provides students with the freedom to become creative and confident dancers while maintaining their individual expression. Dancers will benefit from the small class sizes. They can embrace their love of movement while building lasting physical literacy skills.

Summer Dance Camps are a wonderful way to build on existing skills, try something new, and make friends with similar passions. Evolutions has planned a fantastic summer of dance for 2018, including the following opportunities to keep young bodies in motion.

Summer Camps

Evolutions School of Dance has a number of half-day summer camps for children ages 3 to 12 years. Preschoolers (ages 3 – 6) can enjoy a variety of themed camp weeks throughout the summer, from princesses and fairies to trolls and Star Wars. Kids ages 6 and up can choose from themes such as Move and Groove, Broadway Dance, Discover Dance, Acrobatic Dance & Tricks, and Ballet & Lyrical Dance. Summer Dance Intensives

Do you have a child who already knows they love to dance? The Evolutions Dance Intensives are for the more serious dancer. Dancers will focus on technique, conditioning and stylistic elements of various styles of dance. With a Junior “Mini” Intensive (ages 5 – 8), a Pre-Intermediate Intensive (ages 8+), and an Intermediate/Senior Intensive (ages 11+), your dancer will find a level perfect for them. Toddler and Preschool Summer Programs

Evolutions School of Dance even has fun for the littlest ones! You can choose a 5 week parented program for tiny dancers ages 1 – 3. Or maybe your child (ages 2 – 4) is ready for an unparented “mini” camp that runs once a week for an hour. Either way, they can enjoy a time filled with music, movement, and creativity. What Else?

Please send a nut-free lunch, including snacks and a water bottle for your child. Need a schedule adjustment? Children can be dropped off as early as 8:30 am and picked up as late as 5 pm. (Late pick-ups will result in a $5 charge for every 5 minutes.) On the final day of the half and full-day programs, there will be a showcase presentation where you can see what your child was up to all week. Your child’s instructor will provide more information during your camp.

Tuition for the half-day camps (ages 3+) is $175 (Early Bird $150 +gst before June 1) and the full day camps (ages 5+) is $325 (Early Bird $300 +gst before June 1). If you register for 2 half day camps, you’ll save $25!
