Wondering what to do this weekend? How about the casino?!

Sure, casinos have long been an attraction for the adult crowd. But then you have kids and your weekends often take on a different look. The late nights aren’t as much fun when you know early morning snuggles are on the agenda at 0-dark-thirty. And then there’s the dreaded “arsenic hour,” when you know you have to find something, anything, to do, despite the fact that the wind is howling and the temperature is plummeting.

Unexpectedly, perhaps, it’s time to reconsider the casino! Century Casino, in Calgary’s southeast, is offering Century Sports. It’s easy to get to and has a host of options for families to enjoy. Come check out mini golf, glow mini golf, bowling, and arcade games. Plan some fun family times during the school holidays when you just need to get out of the house!

Mini-Golf

An 18-hole mini-golf course at Century Sports will offer an afternoon of entertainment for the whole family. With three distinct, and recognizable, themes, you can practice a little putting and enjoy working your way around the obstacles. Plus, the whole thing is indoors, so it’s a win-win situation in Calgary’s up-and-down winter (and spring and fall)! Who can make the best shot or sink a hole-in-one? Or who has the best or most unusual form? Who will claim mini-golf greatness? For a twist on your regular mini-golf excursion, visit the Casino after 4 pm, and play GLOW mini golf!

And More!

Still up for some playtime? Century Sports also has an arcade and a bowling centre. Challenge the family with a little air hockey competition or car racing. Show your kids how awesome you are at the classic arcade games of skill! Head to the bowling centre when you’re finished with the arcade, for 30 lanes of 10-pin bowling. (For some reason kids love a ball they can hardly lift.) With a dinosaur ball ramp and gutter bumpers for the little ones, it’s a fun place for the whole family. There’s also food service right at the alley. Bowling is often limited on weekdays with league and school bookings, so it’s best to call ahead. Have some extra fun during the blacklight bowling on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 pm to midnight. Can anyone get a strike?

So, what are you doing this weekend?! Plan an easy and enjoyable afternoon or evening out with your family!

Plus, it’s fun to tell all your friends you’re taking the kids to the Casino.
