You’re used to seeing people laughing, picnicking, and enjoying the sunshine at Heritage Park. Families visit the antique midway and the many exhibits as they walk through the living history of Calgary. But your visit is eerily quiet and deserted. The streets are silent and the houses stand empty. You can almost see the ghosts of yesterday flit around the corner ahead of you. This spring, Heritage Park is offering Ghost Tours for those courageous enough to walk the streets at night! (Well, and those who are ages 16 and up.)
Heritage Park is filled with 100 years of history and has something for everyone through every season. Even though the Historical Village is only open during the summer, the Park is open all year. You can visit the Gasoline Alley Museum anytime and even attend special events in the Village in the off-season. It’s not often you can visit Heritage Park Historical Village in the evening, but their Ghost Tours give a unique opportunity to discover another facet of the Park.
Enter the gates, if you dare! Heritage Park Ghost Tours take you through the darkened streets to hear ghostly stories that haunt the park’s historical buildings. You’ll discover the rich history of Calgary when the sun goes down. This event is perfect for date night or a unique experience with your older teens and young adults, as you must be 16 years and older to attend a ghost tour.
These tours have limited space and are only available on Wednesdays from March 20 to April 24, 2024. There are two options every night, from 7 – 8:30 pm and 7:30 – 9 pm. You will meet at the Gazebo in front of the Gasoline Alley Museum, in the Park’s front plaza.
