It’s May: warm weather, shiny new leaves on trees, and Panda Passage is open at the Calgary Zoo! The long wait is over and Calgary’s newest, furriest residents – giant pandas Er Shun, Da Mao, Jia Panpan and Jia Yueyue – have settled into their new home.
Panda Passage is open to the public and there are a couple of ways to witness the panda cuteness first hand. Of course, the pandas are incredibly popular and a little planning will enhance your visit. The easiest way? If you are an Engage or Inspire member, you will be treated to a members-only preview time, from 9 – 10 am, up until the end of August!
But even if you aren’t a member yet, you can manage the crowds while visiting the giant pandas with timed ticketing. Timed ticketing allows visitors the option of picking a 30-minute window of the day to see the giant pandas. These tickets can be selected online, at kiosks located in Alberta Plaza, and at the Guest Relations window at the zoo. During the timeframe selected, visitors will have access to a fast track lane, bypassing long lines.
When you purchase your tickets, remember that the best deals for the Calgary Zoo are found online at www.calgaryzoo.com. Every day of the week, special deals will be available for tickets bought online.
And in case you didn’t know, any visitor can put the price of their admission ticket towards the purchase of a membership, within 7 days of their visit. And trust us, once you see how adorable the pandas are, you’ll want to visit again and again!
The giant panda is one of the most beloved animals in the world. Make plans for a visit soon and enjoy this charming, delightful animal. Go to www.calgaryzoo.com to find out more, and remember, buy your tickets online for the best price!
