Remember that feeling of swelling joy when school let out for the summer? When the whole summer stretched before you, anything was possible! But, as parents, we know that summer blahs can set in after a couple of weeks. If your kids are getting antsy and bored this summer, let them climb the walls at Bolder Climbing summer camps<\/a>! They’ll have a fabulous time playing, learning, and staying active.<\/p>\n

The Bolder Climbing Community was Calgary’s first bouldering-specific climbing centre. Now they have a second location, Bolder Elevated, where they host summer camps. These locations make it easy to start climbing, with\u00a0some of Canada’s best bouldering terrain. A wide variety of climbing holds, with frequently reset routes and circuits, help make it interesting!<\/p>\n

Bolder Climbing Summer Camps<\/a><\/h3>\n

Experienced Bolder Climbing instructors lead engaging weeks of climbing adventure. Your young climbers learn the fundamentals of climbing with new and exciting games and challenges – no experience needed! These dynamic camps will focus on the basics of climbing and movement, in a fun, supportive and social environment.<\/p>\n

Note that these camps are only held at the Bolder Elevated location.<\/p>\n

Bolder Kids Camp, Full-Day Camps<\/a><\/strong>
\nKids aged 8- 14 will be thrilled to join the Bolder Climbing summer camps. Not only will they get to learn new climbing skills in a safe, inclusive environment, but full days include karate at Champion Karate, heading to the park to play games, and more activities kids love.<\/p>\n

Bolder Kids Camp, Half-Day Camps<\/a><\/strong>
\nHalf-day camps are also available for kids aged 6 – 10, with climbing, games, and activities. These camps run from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM or 12:30 – 4:30 PM.<\/p>\n

Girls Gone Bolder<\/strong><\/a>
\nIf you have girls aged 10 – 16, they will be inspired by Girls Gone Bolder, a girls-only climbing camp that combines indoor climbing sessions with workshops on confidence-building, goal-setting, and overcoming challenges.<\/p>\n

Bolder Adventurers Camps – Outdoor TR and Bouldering<\/a><\/strong>
\nCampers aged 10 and up will experience climbing, both indoors and outdoors, in this camp. Kids will learn belay skills indoors at Bolder on the first day, and then head outside to navigate different climbing terrains. Note that the time for this camp is 8 AM – 5 PM, to allow for more time outside.<\/p>\n

Bolder Explorers Camp – Outdoor Bouldering<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Kids 10 and up can check out this boulder-only focused camp. The first day is spent indoors at Bolder, and then campers visit three outdoor boulder areas to learn spotting techniques, pad placement, and problem-solving.<\/p>\n
