February 2012<\/em><\/p>\n

Since winter had pretty much been non-existent this year, we decided this past weekend to go for a picnic to Elbow Falls in Kananaskis.<\/p>\n

\"Kids<\/p>\n

Elbow Falls is a great little walk for small children but since there is snow still on the ground, the walk ways are closed but there is quite a bit of space along the river to walk.<\/p>\n

They have quite a few picnic tables and a bunch of fire pits, so we packed some hotdogs, snacks and some match-light briquettes.<\/p>\n

The kids were in heaven having a picnic in their snow pants and kept themselves very entertained going for a \u2018hike\u2019 with the walking sticks they found on the ground.<\/p>\n

We are lucky to live in south Calgary, so Elbow Falls was only a 25 minute drive for us, so worth it on a sunny February morning.<\/p>\n
