ZooBOO at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is back over Halloween weekend and it’s the perfect opportunity for wild Halloween fun. The kids can dress up, do a little trick-or-treating at the zoo, and visit their favourite animals for some spooky fall fun!

The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo has been a family-favourite Calgary destination for decades. Spread out over 125 acres, the Zoo is a diverse and lovely place to visit any time of the year. The animal habitats boast over 100 unique species and with playgrounds, shops and concessions, gardens, and special events, there’s always something to enjoy. Naturally, the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is passionate about wildlife conservation and preserving wild places for generations to come. What to Expect

ZooBOO takes place from October 28 – 29, 2023, so you can support wildlife conservation while your kids have fun! Everyone is encouraged to get dressed up and children ages 12 and under can visit treat stations throughout the Zoo for Halloween sweets. Then you can watch your favourite animals get their special fall treats, with special animal enrichment for the season, including pumpkins and more! When you go home, you’ll be inspired to carve your own pumpkins with special tiger and lemur templates, too. If you want to make the day even more exciting, add a Halloween brunch, where you’ll enjoy themed breakfast dishes and desserts.
