Southgate Centre is doing Santa visits a little differently this holiday season and we can’t wait to check it out! Step into one of the stationary train cars in the mall, then get whisked away on a virtual 3D journey through the Canadian Wilderness. See plenty of animal friends along the way as the North Star guides you through a spectacular winter wonderland. As you grow closer, watch for the signs of the North Pole – a flash of a red coat, a reindeer footprint – then disembark from your North Star train car to discover a full sized digital Santa with all his forest friends! Here a photographer will capture the memory with a digital photo that will be emailed to you.
Timed tickets must be reserved ahead of time here. Cost of booking is just $5 per train car that seats up to 2 people. All proceeds from your reservation fee will be donated to Qajuqturvik Community Food Centre, a non-profit organization that strives to strengthen health, belonging and food sovereignty in Iqaluit
