Told through the eyes of the animal woodland residents of Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo, this film tells a tale of community resiliency after one of the the largest wildfire evacuations in Canadian history impacted over 80,000 people. Back Home Again serves as a conversation starter about hope, community and mental health.
Screenwriter/Director Michael Mankowski (born and raised in Fort McMurray) calls the film a “love letter to his community.” Back Home Again features an all-star voice cast including Jeremy Renner, Martin Short, Kim Basinger, Eugene Levy, Norm Macdonald, Catherine O’Hara, Michael J. Fox, Howie Mandel, Lorne Cardinal, Gordon Pinsent, Mena Suvari, Bill Burr, Tom Green, Tantoo Cardinal, Marlon Wayans, Harland Williams, Sherri Shepherd, Scott Thompson, and Ed Asner.
