French Fine Arts Fun at Camp Multi-Arts

L'UniTheatre Camp Multi-Arts

Calling all creative, French-speaking kids – the Camp Multi-Arts, presented by L’UniThéâtre, the Centre de développement musical, the Association la Girandole and the Centre d’arts visuels de l’Alberta, is back for another summer! For two-weeks, participants are immersed in an artistic day camp experience like no other! Campers can let their imaginations run wild as they explore fine arts in this multidisciplinary camp that includes theatre, music, dance and visual arts.

These four francophone organizations have been offering this fun camp, done entirely in French, for the past 13 years! This year’s theme is BizArt, which encompasses everything “bizarre”. The Camp Multi-Arts is offered to students in Grades 1 through 9. (Students must be able to communicate in French, whether they speak it at home or in francophone or French-immersion programs at school.) This two-week program runs Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm from August 12 to 23, 2019, and is held at École Maurice-Lavallée School in the Bonnie Doon neighbourhood of southeast Edmonton.

The best part of camp is the grand finale! After two weeks of hard work, fun and creation, participants get to celebrate their achievements and share their artistic endeavours in a special performance for family and friends, as well as in an extra special performance at the Kids’ Fringe on August 23rd!
