Summer Fun with a Purpose at Camp Wohelo Summer Camp

It’s a BIG year for Camp Wohelo Summer Camp! They’re celebrating their 60th anniversary! Camp Wohelo Summer Camp started in 1959 as Alberta’s only all-girls camp. Today it continues to offer an All-Girls camp, as well as Mom and Kids camp – plus 2019 features a special Anniversary Camp! To mark the occasion, this summer’s theme is “Celebrating the Past and Challenging the Future”.

Think of Camp Wohelo as fun with a purpose. It’s a classic summer camp full of traditional activities like archery, canoeing, arts & crafts, beach time, campfire songs and friends – but interwoven into all that fun are planned, age appropriate opportunities to build leadership skills and self-esteem. Opportunities to celebrate past successes and challenge future goals will be offered in all camps!

Camp Wohelo Summer Camp

Situated on 20 acres of pristine lakefront property at Pigeon Lake, Camp Wohelo stresses the importance of preserving the environment, and enjoying fun and friendship in a natural setting. Programs are based on the values of love, acceptance and respect, and shared in a setting that’s safe physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally. Camp Wohelo is not a specific religious camp. The acceptance and respect for all spiritual journeys, religions, and beliefs is promoted and the goal is to welcome as many people as possible, from all walks of life.

Camp Wohelo campers enjoy heated cabins, bathrooms with showers, and a lodge with a dining room where you’ll enjoy delicious, healthy meals. Each day, campers can pick and choose their activities from a long list of classic camp options. But wait, there’s more! From funky themes and dress up dinners, to exploring nature and learning about wildlife, Camp Wohelo Summer Camp offers the perfect balance of fun and learning.

Anniversary Weekend 2019 – Friends old and new are invited to join for a weekend of fun, food and celebration! Open to everyone. July 13 & 14, 2019
Teen Leadership Camp 2019 – For girls aged 14+ interested in volunteering as Leaders in Training. July 21-24, 2019
Junior Camp 2019 – For girls aged 8 to 12. Full of fun, friendship and laughter. July 28-31, 2019
Mom and Kids Camp 2019 – for mothers or female caregivers and children – August 6-11, 2019
