Ahhhh, August! It’s the month we all want to last at least twice as long as it really does. Hang on to every last moment of summer by enjoying plenty of family fun! Edmonton Heritage Festival
July 30 – August 1 | Celebrate the many cultures that make Edmonton so special! Enjoy 50 pavilions representing 60 countries and cultures and enjoy music, dance, entertainment, and of course, FOOD!

Fairy Berry Festival
July 30 – August 1 | The fairy berries are said to be the sweetest of the strawberry season. Celebrate them, along with all the great things we grow, at this weekend-long fun-fest at Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm!

Old Fashioned Family Picnics
August 2, 9, 16, 23 | Join Alberta Parenting for the Future Association at various parks in Spruce Grove, Carvel and Stony Plain to play games and enjoy picnic snacks in the park.

ESO Outdoors Summer Concerts
August 4 – 21 | Join members of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra for 12 special ESO Outdoors Summer Concerts in local parks. Song selections will vary by date and concerts are pay-what-you-can.

Cariwest Fest & Parade
August 5 – 7 | Let the rhythm get you at this vibrant and colourful festival in which Caribbean Canadians share their music, cuisine and carnival culture!

Animethon 2022
August 5 – 7 | Come meet fans and make friends in the community as you celebrate your love of all things anime, gaming, cosplay, and Japanese pop culture.

Fire Station Open House
August 6, 13 & 27 | Edmonton’s friendly fire fighters invite you to check out the station, trucks, equipment and more during a Fire Station Open House. Participating fire city stations in August include Rainbow Valley, Meadowlark and Capilano.

4th Annual Classic Car Show N’ Shine
August 7 | Come spend the day in the sun admiring beautiful classic cars and meeting the car enthusiasts behind the wheel at Londonderry Mall.

Family Nature Nights
August 10, 17 & 24 | Free programming through Nature Alberta aimed at kids aged 4 to 12 and their families. Explore some of Edmonton and areas most beautiful natural spaces and learn about critters that call them home!

Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival
August 11 – 21 | Enjoy all the fun of this internationally-acclaimed theatre festival featuring more then 160 shows featuring artists from all around the world!

American Crown Circus & Circo Osorio
August 11 – 15 | Escape under their Big Top with one of 21 spectacular performances coming to Red Deer and Edmonton! Green Shack Shows by Alberta Arts Council
