What’s not to love about June? Great weather, the official start of summer and of course the end of the school year! June is also jam-packed with great activities all over the city. Callingwood Farmers’ Market (Sundays & Wednesdays) – Fresh fruits and veggies, local meats and baked goods, plants, art, crafts and so much more, Callingwood Farmers’ Market is one-stop shopping for all your household needs! Shop the twice-weekly market and don’t forget to visit for extra special activities including Kidzones and DIY Workshops.
International Children’s Festival of the Arts (through June 2) – It is, hands down, the best week to be a kid in the capital region! Enjoy shows, performers, workshops and so much FUN at the annual International Children’s Festival of the Arts in St. Albert.
Kidzstock (June 1 & 2) – It’s a weekend of music, golf, horse rides, games and much more as Putting Horse Ranch hosts its first Kidzstock event to raise money for the Hooves to Hope Society therapeutic riding program.
Sheep Return (June 1) and Touch a Truck (June 2) – June is a great time to visit Fort Saskatchewan as that community welcomes the return of their living lawnmowers on June 1, and offers families close encounters of the motorized kind on June 2!
Edmonton Eskimos Fan Day (June 2) – Free admission to Commonwealth Stadium to catch an Esks practice, autograph session and family fun activities!
Michaels Family Make Week (June 2-7) – The whole family can get crafty at Michaels for FREE with Michaels Family Make Week! Create a new project every day from June 2 to 7.
Symphony for Kids (June 8) – The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra’s Symphony for Kids at the Winspear Centre is the perfect way to introduce the magic of the symphony to youngsters! Check out Getting to Know You – A Family Celebration of Rodgers and Hammerstein on June 8.
Muttart Conservatory (June 8-July 1) – The final feature pyramid, “Mother Earth”, will open at the Muttart Conservatory on June 8! Enjoy your last visits before the Muttart closes July 2 for an extensive refurbishment.
Father’s Day Weekend (June 15 & 16) – The way to Dad’s heart must be through his stomach – there are tons of tasty ways to celebrate Pop this Father’s Day! IMAX PJ Party (June 22) – The next PJ Party in the IMAX Theatre at the TELUS World of Science Edmonton is going to be a big one! Catch Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone on June 22!
Royal Canadian Family Circus (June 27 – July 7) – The Royal Canadian Family Circus is bringing an all-new thrill show to a brand new location!

June is a glorious month in Edmonton! There’s pleasant weather, the official start of summer, and a bounty of beauty at Callingwood Farmers’ Market!
Now in its 35th season, Callingwood is Edmonton’s largest and oldest Sunday farmers’ Market. Each week you’ll find more than 120 vendors offering fresh, locally grown produce, delicious food, unique arts and crafts, exclusive handmade products and much more. Shop Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm, and don’t forget you can return Wednesdays between 12 pm and 5 pm to shop from between 30 and 40 vendors – perfect for the mid-week market top-up! Callingwood Farmers’ Market is conveniently located at The Marketplace at Callingwood shopping centre, 6655 – 178 Street. The market is set up in the covered, open-air courtyard and large portion of the parking lot facing 177 Street. There is plenty of free parking and convenient access to bike lanes and transit!
