Vikings: Beyond the Legend at RAM (October 1 to 20) – It’s hard to believe, but the first ever feature exhibit at the new Royal Alberta Museum is wrapping up this month! If you haven’t yet seen Vikings, head to RAM before it’s gone!
Haunted Pumpkin Festival (October 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27 & 31) – Get a jump on your Halloween spirit with the Haunted Pumpkin Festival on every Saturday and Sunday at Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm! (Bonus – they’re open Halloween Day for farm fun before the trick or treating begins!)
Edmonton Ghost Tours (October 1 to 3, 7 to 10 and 14 to November 3) – This one’s for the families with older kiddos (12+) or maybe just for parents. Just in time for Halloween, Edmonton Ghost Tours is back with its annual Ghostly Walk Through Old Strathcona.
Gateway to the Stars at Elk Island Park (October 5, 12, & 19) – Crisp, cool fall evenings are perfect for stargazing! Register in advance, then head out of the city to Elk Island Park for one of the best night sky views around!
U of A Observatory (October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31) – Another amazing way to see the stars is through the powerful telescopes at the U of A Observatory. They offer free viewings Thursday evenings through the school year!
Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes (opens October 19) – One of the most highly-anticipated feature exhibits to hit the TELUS World of Science Edmonton will open on October 19! Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes is sure to be a crowd favourite! (While the exhibit is here you can even book a Super Hero themed birthday party at TELUS World of Science!)
Norman Foote’s Halloween Howl (October 24) – Get into the Halloween spirit as JUNO award winning entertainer Norman Foote brings his wild and wacky show to the stage at Festival Place in Sherwood Park.
Boo at the Zoo (October 27) – Celebrate Halloween with all the critters at the Edmonton Valley Zoo! This special event will include games, crafts, experiments and of course treats!
