Festival Place
The performing arts take center stage at Festival Place! Choose from dance, musical theatre, movie making and more at this state-of-the-art performance venue and theatre located in beautiful Broadmoor Lake Park. There are even combined performing and visual arts camps for those who want to experience a little of everything.

Kids will go on an adventure with the animals of the Sherwood Forest in this imaginative drama camp! Throughout the week campers will learn acting, storytelling, and movement and work with costumes, props, and sets to put on a final performance at the end of the week. Teens are invited to learn all about the world of technical theatre in this hands-on camp taught by theatre professionals. It’s never too early to develop a love of acting! These fun themed camps for preschoolers will combine movement, drama, music, and their own imagination. Each half day class will include “play-acting”, interactive stories, song, dance, and crafts.
Gallery@501
For the full gambit of visual arts, there’s no better spot to be than Gallery@501! This hub for contemporary arts and crafts is conveniently located in the Community Centre and offers everything from painting, printmaking and sculpture to writing and cartooning. At Gallery@501 Summer Camps, kids will explore a variety of art mediums, tour the art on display in the gallery and create exciting art projects.

Fans of comics, superheroes and graphic novels will love this fun camp focused on cartooning and storytelling! Come create your own mini comic with inspiring art lessons, exploration of art on display in the Community Centre, plus games and outdoor play (weather permitting). - Young Author and Artist Camp (Ages 9-12) | July 8-12, 2024
Budding artists and authors will find fun and inspiration in this camp led by author Rita Feutl. Campers will learn how to write their own adventure stories with strong characters and exciting plots, plus gain helpful insight on publishing. This literary focused arts camp will also include art projects with the Gallery@501 instructors and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Strathcona Library. - Art Travels (Ages 6-8) | August 6-9, 2024
Celebrate summer with this full week of fun at the Ardrossan Recreation Complex! Young travelers will have fun exploring the outdoors, creating nature-inspired art, playing games, and bonding together with outdoor play (weather permitting).
Smeltzer House Visual Arts Centre
Smeltzer House Visual Arts Centre shares the love of art and craft with campers of all skill levels. They are proud to offer three unique and well-equipped studios where creativity flourishes – a place where students come together to create, connect, and dream! From painting, drawing, crafting, and working with clay to glass fusing and fibre arts, there are countless delightful experiences awaiting you at the centre this summer.
