In the spirit of a great winter city, the Flying Canoë Volant is a creative and interactive cultural event designed to celebrate local history and everything that is great about a long winter’s night. Inspired from the legend of The Flying Canoe, this festival celebrates French Canadian, First Nations and Métis traditions. Come celebrate your inner voyageur with light, music, legends and dance!

This year, the festival will take place from March 1 – 5, 2022 in three different locations. Enjoy games, entertainment and activities in Edmonton’s French Quarter, walk the colorful illuminated trails in Millcreek Ravine, and check out the canoe races at the Edmonton Ski Club.
