2019 could be the year your kids pick up some mad ice skills, thanks to the City of Edmonton’s FREE Drop In Learn To Skate program! The City is offering the free program, aimed at kids aged 6 to 12 (though family members are welcome to join too) at outdoor rinks in various Edmonton neighbourhoods. The program is aimed to introduce basic skills and encourage participation and fun! Classes will run from January 7 through February 17, 2019. Skaters must bring their own skates and CSA approved helmets. The program will not run when temperatures dip below -23 degrees Celsius.
The City also offers FREE Drop-In Public Skating at arenas all over the city. Click the link for more information on that program!
