Put some adventure into your time off when you spend teachers convention at Camp Warwa! The camp, located just 80 kms West of Edmonton on the banks of Lac Ste. Anne, is opening for some frosty fun on March 1st and 2nd to coincide with teachers convention for Edmonton Public and Edmonton Catholic schools.
In addition to cultivating leadership skills and confidence in their abilities, campers at Camp Warwa have to opportunity to challenge themselves with new experiences. Camps will focus on some of the most popular outdoor programming offered at Camp Warwa, like:
- Rock Climbing,
- Cross Country Skiing,
- Survival Skills
The staff at Camp Warwa are committed to providing a safe, caring environment where every camper feels welcome. Teachers Convention camp is a great first camp experience as it is only one night, but more seasoned campers will love it too. A little taste of the fun in store at longer sleep away camps offered at spring break and in the summer will make the school break an experience to remember!
If you aren’t able to stay overnight, there is also a day program that runs from 9:30 am-4:30 pm on Thursday and Friday with supervision offered before camp from 8 am until camp starts and after camp until 6 pm.
Bussing is available from Coronation Park (near the TELUS World of Science) for $22 return, or $11 for one way if that is more convenient for your family than pick up and drop off at the camp.
Teachers Convention at Camp Warwa is for boys and girls from kindergarten to grade 12. The price per day is $35 per camper, or $105 for the overnight camp, and includes hearty meals (lunch for day campers.)
