It doesn’t matter what sport your child plays or what level they play at — everyone is welcome at Athlete Training Grounds summer camps, because all kids will benefit from being active for life! Young athletes, aged 6 – 14, will love these multisport camps. You don’t need to be a pro to enjoy learning and playing a wide variety of sports and games. Kids will discover what an active life looks like for them personally. After all, you never know if you will like it unless you try it!

Why Choose Athlete Training Grounds?

Athlete Training Grounds camps are coached by two teachers with over 20 years of combined coaching experience. Both Sarah and Eric hold their National Coaching Certification in soccer, along with other pertinent coaching and teaching certifications. They can help kids develop physical literacy skills for a lifetime. They encourage young athletes to push themselves, try new things, and transfer skills across sport disciplines.

The program has been developed to introduce youth to multiple sports while improving their cognitive understanding and overall physical literacy between activities. Through first-hand experience and play, children of all ages will develop a positive relationship with physical activity and help grow their love for their favourite games.

FUN is the ultimate goal during Athlete Training Grounds camps! Campers will be introduced to multiple sports in an encouraging and educational environment. Each day will consist of multiple activities such as baseball, soccer, basketball, golf, frisbee, capture the flag, CrossFit, cooperative games, and more. Athletes will be divided into smaller groups by skill level so they can gain confidence among their peers. Kids will try new sports and learn how skills and techniques can transfer between activities.

Weeklong camps are available from July 13 to 31, 2026, at two different locations – Lessard Community Hall in Edmonton and Larose Park Field in St. Albert.
