<\/h3>\nIf you like scares, we’ve found them! At this time of year, our family loves to test our wits by checking out new Haunted Houses or revisiting old favourites. I am always so impressed by the creativity and effort individuals have put into creating a fun experience to share with the community. In many cases, people are opening their homes to complete strangers and contributing all proceeds to charity. We want to thank all those for their tireless efforts to make our Halloween a little more magical!<\/p>\n
I have tried my best to separate the Haunted Houses into age categories. My kids have both always enjoyed the scare experience so my ratings may be slightly skewed towards that.<\/p>\n

\nFriday, Saturday & Sunday from October 3 \u2013 November 2, 2025 |<\/strong> After a 3-year hiatus, The Haunted Hike returns to Vegreville in 2025, taking over a massive warehouse with 18 chillingly themed rooms and spine-tingling surprises. Running weekends in October, this Alberta Halloween tradition features both family-friendly hours and full-intensity live actor scares, all in support of local causes.<\/p>\n
\nOctober 3-4, October 10-11, October 17-18, October 24-25, and October 31, 2025 | <\/strong>Visit Kiwi Nurseries this Halloween as the outdoor pathways and growing house are given a spooky makeover, with souvenir flashlights provided to guide your way through the dark!\u00a0Wild Rose Shows Inc. will extend the thrills with their Creepy Carnival Spooktacular<\/strong> featuring the Fantasy Wheel and Berry Go Round, plus spooky fair treats.<\/p>\n
\n\ud83c\udd93 Open date October 10, 2025 |<\/strong> Maisie\u2019s Magical Christmas House is lighting up for Halloween starting Friday, October 10, 2025! Homeowner Jerry Dolynchuk transforms his famous holiday home into a dazzling spooky spectacle filled with lights, animatronics, and incredible decorations. The display is free and open to the public to come admire, with donations gratefully accepted for Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS).<\/p>\n
\n\ud83c\udd93 Anytime after October 15 |<\/strong> Experience the ultimate Halloween spectacle on Summerside Grande Boulevard, where dozens of homes transform into a spooktacular display of lights, props, and eerie effects. This beloved Edmonton tradition draws crowds of costumed visitors each year, making it the city\u2019s top destination for Halloween fun and trick-or-treating!<\/p>\n
\n\ud83c\udd93 October 15-31 (Scare actors October 24, 25 & 31) |<\/strong> The Clarkdale Creepshow is a spooky residence in Sherwood Park offering up a scare experience for the older kids and Halloween fun for younger ghosts and ghouls! This year’s “The Curse of the Crow” themed haunted grounds will open to everyone on October 15 with a colouring contest, and will bring extra frights on October 24, 25 & 31 with live scare actors! Food Bank donations are encouraged.<\/p>\n
\nOctober 16-19 & 23-31 | <\/strong>Your whole boo crew is going to love taking a stroll through the Century 21 Leading Spooktacular Acreage! This FREE low-scare Halloween display is just a short drive west of the city and offers up over hundreds of cartoon character inflatables, animatronics and spooky decorations for your family to walk through and get into the Halloween spirit.<\/p>\n\n
\nOctober 17 & 18 |<\/strong> Step into the shadows for DEADWOOD: Gates of Madness, a spine-chilling journey through The Fort Heritage Precinct presented by the Youth Action Committee. Experience this haunted adventure October 17 & 18, recommended for ages 14+\u2014enter if you dare!<\/p>\n
\n\ud83c\udd93 October 17-19, 24-26, 31 & November 1 | <\/strong>Each Halloween, the team at\u00a0Fundraiser Freight<\/a>\u00a0works hard to bring their Kingdom of Lost Souls Haunted House to life in Northeast Edmonton. Built on the Delwood Community Rink, a whole host of volunteers and scare actors devote their time to creating this hair-raising scare experience for the community. This can\u2019t-miss Halloween event is just $5 per person and one of our family\u2019s personal favourite haunt experiences in the city. Opening night Friday, October 17, 2025 is FAMILY NIGHT, with limited scare actors and a special offer of 1 paid parent = 1 paid child.<\/p>\n\n

October 18 & 24 |<\/strong>\u00a0Can you find your way out of the Corn Maze before the zombies and monsters find you? Character actors will be located throughout the corn maze, adding an element of terror and fun once the sun goes down.<\/p>\n
\n\ud83c\udd93 October 22-24 |<\/strong> The NOW! Radio Haunted House is back for its 10th year with the chilling new theme\u00a0\u201cCamp 1023.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Once a bustling summer camp, it now lies abandoned after \u201cthe incident\u201d \u2014 and those who wander too close might just vanish into the woods.\u00a0This very spooky haunted house is the brainchild of radio hosts Adam McKale & Raj, and stirs up plenty of fear with live volunteer actors doing their best to make you scream. Recommended for ages 10+, with admission by food bank donation.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>\ud83c\udd93 October 31 & November 1 |<\/strong> The Nightmare on Athapaskan is back and ready to scare! This year’s theme is Flesh & Fur, offering a whole new haunt experience at this residential home in Leduc. Bring a foodbank or cash donations on-site for the VAFB Edmonton. Low scare hour from 5 – 6:30 PM<\/p>\n
