At Forest School Summer Camp, adventure and play are the name of the game. Do you have a school-age child who LOVES getting outdoors? Outside time, friendship and fun are all something they will find at Forest School Summer Camp. Tykes et tout-petits is excited to offer a camp program with weekly traditional Forest School practices that will cover the 8 areas of risky play. The 8 areas are great heights, great speed, tool use, play near dangerous elements, rough and tumble play, disappearing, play with impact, and vicarious play. Each week will focus on creating a better connection to the space where we live, play and grow.
Your child will have an exciting week making discoveries, meeting new friends, and having a blast! They will learn and become confident in their exploration of the world. Your campers will have so much to share about what they’ve learned throughout the week. Each week Tykes and Tots aims for camps to be fully outdoors while exploring the urban forests of Saskatoon.
Tykes and Tots Early Learning Centre is a multi-facility childcare organization offering quality care for your kids. They offer licensed early learning (child care) programs, before and after school programs, school-age summer care and Forest School summer camps. These programs provide a safe, fun environment for children to grow and play.

Toutes les sessions se déroulent de 8h00 à 4h30, du lundi au vendredi.
Week 1: Skills and Fantasy (July 15-19, 2024)
Campers will love this week full of tool use and shelter learning. Kids will learn about what to do when they are lost and orienteering as well as how to make a fire safely.
Week 2: Tools and Tech (July 22 – 26, 2024)
If your children love playing with tools this will be their perfect week. Campers will learn all about tools, including how to make and care for tools. Kids will also explore the use of technology to strengthen the outdoor learning experience.
Week 3: Adventure and Foraging (August 12 – 16, 2024)
Your little adventurers will spend the week learning about what nature can provide us. They will learn how to identify plants, bushes and berries. Adding to the fun, campers will learn how to use a solar oven and will make tools from nature.
Week 4: Bushcraft tools (August 19 – 23, 2024)
Kids will enjoy a week of tools. They will create tools from natural materials and learn tool safety while building things with the created tools.
