DELIGHTFUL DOWNTOWN is the Downtown Halifax Business Commission’s series of vivid light shows and installations around Downtown Halifax. It includes colourful light projection shows that help light up our dark winter nights.

Each light show is projected onto the former Halifax Memorial Library at Grafton Park (corner of Spring Garden Road and Grafton Street) and features different seasonal and cultural themes. The series will run until March 2023, and any shows with overlapping dates will run back-to-back with each other with a short break in between.

Upcoming shows:

  • African Heritage Month Light Show (February 1 – 28)
  • Valentine’s Day Light Show  (February 10 – 14)
  • Heritage Day Light Show (February 17 – 20)
  • ‘Spring is Coming’ Light show  (March 1 – 31)
  • International Women’s Day Light Show (March 7 – 11)
  • March Break Light Show  (March 13 – 20)
