Established in 1936, The Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers is a not-for-profit equestrian club in the heart of downtown Halifax at the base of Citadel Hill. Just off Spring Garden Road, tucked neatly between the Public Gardens, The Museum of Natural History and Citadel High School, “Lancers” is a Halifax institution!

The Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers’ mandate is to encourage people of all ages to ride; to provide instruction in horsemanship; to instill in riders the proper care of horses, and to promote the equestrian sport. Their facility also hosts an incredible program for youth with disabilities: The Halifax Area Leisure and Therapeutic Riding Association (HALTR).

This historic and well-loved club also offers Adult and Junior Beginner Riding Programs as well as March Break and Summer Camps.
