The Northern Lights Lantern Festival is the North End’s best kept summer secret! The 14th Annual Northern Lights Lantern Festival will be held at Merv Sullivan Park (The Pit).

NOTE: Due to the forecasted rain on Saturday, the 14th Annual Northern Lights Lantern Festival has been POSTPONED until Thursday, August 17th, 2017 from 5:00-10:00pm. Hope to see you there!

There will be tons of FREE events including a petting zoo and pony rides, bouncy castles, face painting, games, free cotton candy, tons of live stage entertainment – and more!

Fireworks are weather and fire ban dependent, but one thing is for sure: at dusk, there will be a beautiful lantern parade. Come early to make your own lantern using Mason Jars and other materials donated by the community. As you will see from the video below, this is a true community event, that kids and families love. See you there!
