Petits Chanteurs

The finale of the Musique Royale CHORAL FEAST brings listeners a collective of 40 singers from Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont Royal, of one of the continent’s best-known boy’s choirs, the full group comprising over 210 boys, aged eight to seventeen. The Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal is a boys’ choir school established in 1956 by Father Léandre Brault, who was inspired by the great European tradition of boys’ choir schools dating back to the 6th century. The Boys’ choir performs sacred works enriching the many religious ceremonies at St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal. The boys come together from diverse social and cultural backgrounds to share a common passion for singing, and will perform a special concert at St. John’s on June 28th under the leadership of celebrated choral director, Andrew Gray!
