Shubenacadie Wildlife Park is a 40-hectare park owned and operated by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, providing a wide range of outdoor recreational and educational opportunities to Nova Scotians and visitors alike. A stroll through their two kilometers of wheelchair-accessible and shaded pathways provides an open, yet intimate environment for viewing and talking to the animals, while interpretive panels and helpful staff provide a wealth of information about the animals. The Wetland Centre provides an amazing wetland experience for visitors including a one-kilometer accessible trail and is also home to the Park\u2019s gift shop.<\/p>\n

At the main entrance to the Park, there are washrooms with infant change tables. The park has a privately owned canteen onsite during the summer months and there is a fantastic picnic area adjacent to the Park with tables, shelters, washrooms, and running water. Both big and little kids will enjoy their wonderful playground! The picnic area is also the starting point for the three-and-a-half-kilometer round-trip walk to St. Andrew\u2019s Marsh.<\/p>\n

What’s best about Shubenacadie? On Groundhog Day, Shubenacadie Sam<\/a> is the first North American Groundhog to make his prediction. So, whether you like penguins, peacocks, or snowshoe adventures, there’s something for everyone at Shubenacadie Wildlife Park!<\/p>\n
