Camp Kindling – a Co-operative Youth Retreat

We have exciting news for your tweens and teens! Registration is now open for Camp Kindling – a Co-operative Youth Retreat. “Together we burn brighter.”

Camps aren’t just for the little ones! Your big kids (youth ages 12 to 18) can have an amazing and new experience this summer. Camp Kindling will help your child develop leadership skills, improve social skills, and gain self-confidence. There is no better memory than one of the summer camps as a teenager. Find a new friend from a different community, explore a place you’ve never been, and discover the educational and social enrichment offered by summer programs.

Camp Kindling, formally known as Co-op Camp or the Saskatchewan Co-operative Youth Program, has been leading Co-operative Youth Education in Saskatchewan for more than 90 years. They offer four- and five-day overnight summer camp sessions held in July for youth. These camps have a long-standing tradition of promoting inclusivity and open participation in their programming.

Camp Kindling Summer Sessions

Junior 1 Camp: For youth who are 12 and 13 years old and new to the program.
Dates: July 2 – 6, 2023 Location: Last Mountain Lake

Introductory 1 Camp: Welcoming back Junior participants as well as 14 and 15-year-olds who are new to the program.
Dates: July 6 – 10, 2023 | Location: Last Mountain Lake

Doug Alexander Intermediate Camp: This camp is for youth who have completed the Introductory level, or 16 to 18-year-olds who are new to the program.
Dates: July 10 – 14, 2023 | Location: Last Mountain Lake

Junior 2 Camp: For youth who are 12 and 13 years old and new to the program.
Dates: July 14-18, 2023| Location: Last Mountain Lake

Introductory 2 Camp: Welcoming back Junior participants as well as 14 and 15-year-olds who are new to the program.
