1. Take the crew for a Skate

Rinks will be open during the February Break. Find out which one is best for you, and take the family outside for some fun.

2. Check out the Winter City Snow Glow

Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan is pleased to share Winter City Snow Glow for the second year! It is a winter wonderland of lighting designs to help brighten your winter.

3. Vintage Lovers Rejoice: 8th Annual YXE Vintage Crawl

The 8th Annual YXE Vintage Crawl is over the February Break. If you love vintage finds, this is the week for you!

4. Complete Friendraser Tasks With the 2022 Discovery Dash

The Discovery Dash takes place on Family Day but you can still spend the rest of your week discovering the fantastic Nutrien Wonderhub.

5. Take the Family Sledding

Winter is a long season in Saskatoon. Why not make the best of it with the family at a tobogganing hill near you!?

6. Feed a chickadee

It’s a winter wonderland at Beaver Creek! That’s why they are open on weekends during the season. This week, discover the natural wonders of the beautiful Saskatchewan ecosystem, enjoy an interpretive adventure and maybe even feed a chickadee!

7. Spend your Winter Break at Wanuskewin

Looking for something to do on your February break? Wanuskewin Heritage Park has daily drop-in Programs. Join one of Wanuskewin’s interpretive guides for daily Public Programs during the break!

8. Enjoy Saskatoon’s Nutrien Wintershines

Nutrien WinterShines is making our 2022 look much more bright! One of Saskatoon’s favourite winter festivals is on all week long with different activities daily.

9. Pike Lake Park

This year celebrate Winter in Pike Lake Park! Try crokicurl, skating on the lake, hike a trail, or try snowshoeing or cross country skiing. It’s winter fun for all ages.

10. Champetre County’s Winter Wonderland Sleigh Rides

Take a short drive out of the city to experience fun outdoor activities like a horse-drawn sleigh ride, campfire, hot chocolate, wooden maze, small animal barn and so much more. Book a visit for your family!

11. Indoor Play Centres in Saskatoon!

Take the family to some indoor play centres. There are still many open, and they will be sure to help your kids get rid of some energy while laughing!

12. Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo

Visit the animals, go to the amazing playground, and get a great walk. The Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo is always a great time with the family. It’s also a nice place for a socially distant visit with friends. Plus it’s free over winter!

13. Life Outside Kids Play Gear Exchange

Life Outside Kids Play Gear Exchange is having a pop up at Wonderhub for an entire week! They are currently accepting and expanding their consignment inventory. Drop gear off AND find some new gear for your family. Plus you can add a visit in at Wonderhub!

Take the family skiing on one of your days off this week. We’ve got a list of some of our favourite downhill spots.

15. Saskatoon Public Library Programming in a Nutshell

SPL is a great option for the family! If you love books, stop by and explore what they have. You can also check out their online programming if you want to stick closer to home.

16. 5 Hikes In and Around Saskatoon That Every Family Will Enjoy

Find a new place to hike with the family. (You may need snowshoes in some of these sections!) We also suggest trying out The Northeast Swale in Saskatoon! We had a blast there.

17. Get your Golf On With Mini Golf in Saskatoon and Area

If you want something else inside, check out the indoor mini-golf options in the city!

18. Catch a Movie at Saskatoon’s Clubhouse at Cineplex Cinemas at the Centre

If you’re still feeling a little stir-crazy this week, take your kids to the Clubhouse. They can play and watch a kid-friendly movie!
