Family-Friendly Events in Saskatoon this OCTOBER

1| Berry Barn Fun Zone (open daily until October 31)

Enjoy games, a maze and seasonal fun at the Berry Barn’s (heated) indoor greenhouse this weekend. Stay for walk around the beautiful grounds in all their early fall glory!

2| Corn Mazes (varied opening hours until October 31)

Fall means the corn is ripe and ready for families in search of a maze! Check out our list of the best mazes in and around Saskatoon!

3| Saskatoon Public Library Programming (daily)

Storytime, Art projects, Building fun, Imaginators, Movies, Dance parties, Puppet Shows, zoo experiences, and Fam Jams–the Saskatoon Public Library has it all.

4| $3 Cineplex Movie (Saturdays)

Check out a $3 movie at the Scotiabank Theatre any Saturday morning in October With a price like that, there’s no need to skip the popcorn!

6| Drop-in Art (Saturdays)

The Saskatoon Community Youth Arts Program and the Remai Modern both offer drop-in art opportunities on Saturdays.

7| Stroller Tours of the Remai Modern (first and third Wednesdays)

Take a stroll with baby through Saskatoon’s hottest new attraction the first and third Wednesday of October for just $5.

8| Movies for Mommies (Thursdays at 1pm)

Rest easy in a baby-friendly viewing environment with dim lighting, reduced sound, complimentary wipes, bottle warming and more at Rainbow Theatres every Thursday at 1pm.

9| outGROW outPLAY Sale (October 4 – 6)

Shop gently used baby items and enjoy demos, snacks and all-things family at the semi-annual outgrow/outplay sale.

10| Tour of the Canadian Light Source (Must Book)

It’s free, and it’s awesome! Tour Saskatoon’s own wonder of modern science by booking your tour on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays.

11| The SSCI Indoor Playground (Weekdays between 9:30 and 11:45)

Too cold for outdoor parks and playgrounds?! No worries. SSCI offers indoor riding, toys, games and baby fun every weekday at the Henk Ruys Soccer Centre.

12| Our Discovery Cinema at the Remai Modern (first and third Saturdays)

It’s old-school family fun the first and third Saturdays of the month at the Remai Modern. They play foreign, documentary, independent and classic family films in the SaskTel Theatre.

13| Michaels Kids Club (Saturday mornings)

Kids can make a craft on the cheap every Saturday morning at Michaels while parents shop!

14| Saskatchewan Aviation Museum (daily)

Check out the coolest air craft, photos and artifacts that the Saskatchewan Aviation Historical Society has to offer.

15| Craft Fairs, Craft Fairs, Craft Fairs

Harvest Home (October 6), Autumn Craft & Artisan Show (October 12), Falling for Wishes Outdoor Market (October 19), and The Western Development Museum Christmas Craft Fair (October 18 – 19) want to showcase the best the beautiful fall season has to offer.

16| Great Big Pumpkin Drop (October 6) 

It’ll be a SPLAT at Saskatoon Fire and Flood’s incredible Great Big Pumpkin Drop at Black Fox Farm & Distillery this fall.
