Brrr! It’s been a chilly February week! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and Saskatonians have every reason to fall in LOVE with our amazing city. Find out what’s happening in snowy, Saskatoon this weekend…

7 Family-Friendly Events in Saskatoon (February 8 – 10, 2018):

1. City of Saskatoon Winter Play Program

Drop in at these City of Saskatoon locations for winter games and activities including snow carving, snow baseball, snow golf, powder-puff football, tug of war, penguin races, snow painting, freeze tag, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, and much more! Oh, and leave your wallet at home! These activities are F R E E!

2. City of Saskatoon Learn to Skate Program

Participants ages 2 to 12 (under 6 with an adult) must bring their own skates and CSA approved winter helmets to enjoy the City of Saskatoon’s FREE Learn to Skate program this weekend at one of these 5 locations.

3. Wanuskewin Kona Festival

Celebrate Indigenous Culture and the beautiful winter season at Kôna Wanuskewin Winter Festival! This immersive 1 day event on Saturday has something for everyone in the family and it’s all FREE! Activities include dog sled rides, storytelling, kick sled tours, snow shoeing and more.

4. Drumming and Stories with Carol Rose Daniels

Carol Rose embarks on a family-centred journey of drumming and traditional storytelling at Frances Morrison Central Library on Friday and Round Prairie Branch on Saturday.

5. Hit up a Tobogganing Hill

Take advantage of the beautiful February weather this weekend at one of the 10 best hills in the city!

6. Try Speedskating

Did you know you can visit the Clarence Downey Speedskating Oval at 1201 Dudley St. on Saturdays and Sundays between 10:15am and 6pm for FREE!?

7. Feed a Chickadee

SaskEnergy knows the Saskatchewan landscape is magical in the wintertime! That’s why they are offering SaskEnergy Saturdays at Beaver Creek! Your family can enjoy a winter walk, interpretative programming and more!
